PERMITTING FOR COASTAL CONSTRUCTION:

Biological surveys, biological design of site and planning for permit requirements, reports and surveys for permits, meetings with permitting agencies. Filing and follow-up with agencies. Co-operative work with engineers and lawyers on permit applications.

COASTAL MITIGATION AND REHABILITATION:

Projects: Mitigation of seagrasses, mangroves, marshes and corals. Cost effective. Tailored to projects' needs: small to large.

COASTAL MAPS

Benthic surveys and maps, vegetation surveys and maps, aerial surveys. Satellite coastal vegetation maps.

ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT STATEMENT:

Writing and background data for EIS or EIA; biological and literature surveys, planning and design with engineers and decision-makers for minimal environmental impact.

SITING AND DESIGN OF CONSTRUCTION FOR MINIMAL ENVIRONMENTAL DAMAGE:

For projects not requiring EIS, planning of facility design and site selection. Biological surveys, resource maps and information required for permits or designing; reports, mitigation proposals.

TOXICITY TESTING-FOULING STUDIES:

Field and laboratory testing. Mortality, 50% mortality

and dosage-time requirements for safe standards.

Plants and animals (including corals), marine and estuarine.

TEAM ENVIRONMENTAL EFFORTS:

For EIS, EIA or litigation we have a group of subtropical and tropical experts as associates: Oceanographers, hydrologists, geologists, coastal engineers, water chemists, experts on fisheries and marine mammals, ornithologists, benthic biologists. We organize teams, undertake projects where interdisciplinary expertise is necessary.

OIL POLLUTION CLEAN UP/PLANNING

& MAPS: advise on dispersant use, prioritization of resources to protect. Contingency plans and sensitivity maps.
